Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. They describe how EatBot works, what we agree to provide, and what we ask of restaurants and account holders using our service. These terms are operational and are not legal advice.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an EatBot account, publishing content through EatBot, or otherwise using EatBot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must have the authority to create an account on behalf of the restaurant or business you register. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Restaurant content responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and quality of the content you upload or configure through EatBot, including:

  • Menu names, prices, and descriptions
  • Menu images
  • Allergen and dietary information
  • Item availability
  • Contact details, addresses, and directions
  • Social media links and outbound URLs
  • Public claims about your restaurant, offers, or availability

EatBot does not verify menu content, prices, allergen information, or availability. Your customers rely on what you publish.

4. The EatBot service

EatBot provides tools that allow restaurants to:

  • Manage a Digital Menu and publish it at a public link
  • Manage a Restaurant Website and publish it at a public link
  • Generate and download QR codes that link to public pages
  • Receive privacy-conscious usage information about those pages

Features, plans, and limits may change as EatBot evolves.

5. Subscriptions, trials, and manual payments

EatBot offers subscription plans, which may include a trial period. Payment for paid plans is currently handled manually: you submit a payment request together with a payment reference and proof, and the EatBot team verifies the payment before activating or renewing your subscription.

  • Submitting a payment request does not activate a subscription. A subscription is only active after EatBot approves the payment.
  • EatBot may reject a payment request if the payment cannot be verified, if the amount is incorrect, or if the request appears fraudulent or abusive.
  • Paid subscriptions run for the plan period disclosed at the time of approval. EatBot does not automatically recur or auto-renew manual payments; you must submit a new payment request to continue after your period ends.
  • Where applicable, EatBot may apply a short grace period after expiry during which your public pages continue to work. After the grace period, features may be limited until a new subscription is activated.

6. Suspension, locking, and termination

EatBot may suspend, lock, or terminate access — with or without notice — if a subscription expires without renewal, if payment cannot be verified, if you misuse the service, if we suspect fraud, if we identify a security risk, or if you violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use EatBot to:

  • Publish unlawful, misleading, or infringing content
  • Impersonate another restaurant or brand
  • Distribute malware, attempt to break authentication, or interfere with the service or other accounts
  • Scrape, resell, or misuse public restaurant pages beyond ordinary use
  • Publish content that harms or misleads customers

8. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the restaurant content you upload. You grant EatBot a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and publicly display that content solely to operate the EatBot service on your behalf, including hosting your Digital Menu and Restaurant Website.

EatBot retains all rights in its software, product design, brand assets, and underlying platform. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of EatBot's platform to you.

9. Third-party services and outbound links

EatBot uses and links to third-party services, including authentication and infrastructure providers, and public buttons that open external destinations you configure (for example WhatsApp, phone dialers, map providers, and social platforms). When a visitor taps such a button, they leave EatBot and are governed by the linked provider's terms and privacy policy. EatBot is not responsible for those external services.

10. Analytics and engagement signals

EatBot may show aggregate usage information about your public pages, including approximate visitor counts and button-tap engagement signals. These signals reflect clicks and taps only. They are not confirmed orders, calls, bookings, visits, revenue, or customers.

11. Service availability

EatBot aims to provide a reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, or third-party incidents may temporarily affect availability. EatBot may change or discontinue features at any time.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EatBot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. EatBot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of revenue, profits, goodwill, data, or customers, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Refunds and cancellation

Refund and cancellation behavior is described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

14. Privacy

How EatBot handles information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms or the service

EatBot may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.

16. Contact
